About

My name is Melanie Ackerley 

My journey in health and fitness began in 2006 as a Personal Trainer and Holistic Nutritionist and over the years, I have evolved my offerings to encompass a comprehensive approach to wellness. As an avid athlete throughout my life, and after embracing motherhood, I have returned to the health and fitness world with a renewed focus on Pilates and movement training, having discovered the transformative power of Pilates. This powerful, effective, and yet gentle practice has become an integral part of my life, motivating me to share its benefits with others. My versatility as an enthusiast of all sports and athletic pursuits allows me to cater the group classes, private and semi-private sessions to a diverse range of individuals. Additionally, as a GrowCo Ambassador, I specialize in supporting pre+post-natal mothers along their health and fitness journey. I looks forward to continuing my mission of promoting holistic well-being through Pilates and movement training. My goal is to inspire others to embrace this powerful and gentle practice that enhances both physical and mental health. 

Services

 I became keenly aware that there were gaps in post partum care when I became a mom here in Squamish. This led me to create Midline Movement & Health. Providing pre and post natal training and rehab services to pregnant women and mothers in our community. It's time to change the narrative and fill the gap during the postpartum phase of motherhood through education and proper movement. Urinary incontinence, painful intercourse, prolapse and the many other symptoms experienced postpartum are common but not normal. I am dedicated to helping moms stay healthy and fit during pregnancy and after giving birth. My focus on rehabilitation and proper healing is what sets me apart, ensuring that both baby and mom are healthy and strong. My range of training options with a strong emphasis on Mat & Reformer Pilates makes me the perfect choice for moms looking to stay fit throughout pregnancy and beyond.

In addition to working with the Pre-Post Natal demographic, I am passionate about offering Mat & Reformer Pilates Training in both individual and group settings throughout all other stages of life.

Pre+Post Natal Private Training is dedicated to providing you with the personalized care, support, and experience you need during your pregnancy and motherhood. I believe that every woman deserves individual attention and programming, which is why I work closely with you to develop a program unique to your needs. Whether it’s pre-post natal training or rehabilitation, I'm here for you every step of your journey to ensure you feel confident and empowered.

My GrowCo Rehab and Mat Pilates focused Postpartum Small Group Sessions are dedicated to helping mothers heal their bodies after birth. These group sessions create a community and social component for moms as well as assist in building strength, restoring proper breathing mechanics, deep core and proper pelvic floor engagement. Join this community of local moms and find the support you need to make a healthy and lasting recovery so you can get back to the activities and lifestyle you enjoy!
